What Causes Pain And Pressure In Head After An Injury ?
Hi there. I recently went to the emergency room for a sudden headache on the left side of my head, particularly in my temple. While the pain was mild, the pressure was unbearable. They did all the necessary blood tests and a CT scan and all results came back perfectly healthy. I was given a round of generic antibiotics in case of sinus/ear infection (they found a little fluid in my ear but no other signs of infection). It seemed I was getting better while on the antibiotics but today I m back where I was when I went to the emergency room. Note that there was semi-recent head trauma several weeks ago. Anyone got an idea of what it is? Maybe I just need stronger antibiotics and this is one heck of a sinus infection? Though with no other symptoms.. Please and thank you!
Many times, headache do persist even after clearance of sinus infection as the sinus healing process is underneath stage. Kindly discuss the need of further antibiotics with your doc, otherwise supportive medications as diclofenac, tramadol hydrochloride or acetaminophen gives best results in this type of headache.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
