What Causes Pain And Numbness In The Breasts?

Lack of feeling in breasts or nipples in young adult (19 years old). Realized lack of pain when hit accidentally in breast area & then paid more attention to lack of any sensation. Is this something to worry about & if so, would family doctor or gyn dr. be the one to see? Thank You.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Pain and numbness in breasts is normal to be experienced during young age. It happens furing the adaptation phase of hormonal changes taking place in the body.
All you need is reassurance and symptomatic treatment.
It generally subsides on its own over a period of time. Eat healthy food and drink good quantities of water. Feel relaxed and stress free.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.,
