What Causes Pain And Fullness In Ear Due To Blockage?

Hi, I felt my left ear get a bit blocked and decided to clean it using a cotton bud but after I did, it got really blocked and now feels very full and painful; sort of the same feeling when your ears get blocked on an aeroplane but without the painful sensation. It really hurts now and I can t sleep. I have in the past burst that ear drum when I was a child so I ve always had an issue with that ear especially if I get water in it. Should I go to the hospital or just wait and hope it unblocks like a normal blocked ear?

After reading your post, I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined by an ENT specialist. Do not do further self treatment, as it may cause more harm.
