What Causes Pain And Discomfort In The Left Ankle?

Hi I recently hurt my left ankle and never got it looked at. We thought, at the time, that it was sprained. That around Aug 13 of this year. I am still having some discomfort and decreased rang of movement with the discomfort. It still seems to be slightly enlarged and I may be favoring my right ankle, I haven't noticed this but many friends have pointed it out to me. Should I stop by my local med check and have it looked at?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
After such injuries, pain may persist for up to 6 weeks but if there is inceasing pain and movement limitations then it would be good to do at least Xrays examination and MRI would be more advisanle to see if there is ligamentar damage or muscle rupture. In every case, apply ice, rest and take painkillers till pain subside.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
