Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Discomfort Between The Breasts?
I have pain and discomfort between my breasts. Sometimes accompanied with vomiting and nausea. It affects my entire body and renders me incapable of getting out of bed. With the last two episodes, my stool has been very black. Before its onset, I clear my throat quite a bit; my mouth is filled with liquid; and at times there seems to be mucous buildup in my chest. I cannot think of a better way to explain the symptoms. I have been taking Pantoprazole for some time now. Thank you.
Thanks for putting your query over here. Considering the clinical scenario you described,it seems you have got gastroesophageal reflux disease or ulcer (peptic/duodenal).Taking pantoprazole may help you but only temporarily.Since you are also getting black stools, the severity of the problem may be more.(Black stools indicate sone form of gastrointestinal bleeding). It needs to be assessed by endoscopic investigation. You will be then given certain combination of drugs according to the results of the test.It is important for you to visit a gastroenterologist as early as possible. Avoid fried and spicy food.keep a gap of atleast 2 hours after your meals and before you go to bed.Sleep with head slightly elevated from rest of the body. Thanks and regards.
