General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The commonest cause of pain and choking, feeling of something stuck in the esophagus is narrowing of the esophagus due to GERD.

Difficulty in swallowing, chest pain, weight loss is indicative of esophageal cancer.

If no lump or tumor is detected, it can be globus pharyngeus. You can take antacids & analgesics to stay comfortable.

Visit a GP, get examined physically, get all required investigations done. Get treated at the earliest.

Take liquid or semi-solid diet like oats, soups, juice, khichri, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
