General & Family Physician 's  Response
Greetings
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
Your complains are a common presentatin to my clinic. And a fissure at the end of the intestine is the most common cause. But this could be confirmed only on medical examination by your physician or a general surgeon.

As fas as treatment is concerned , your doctor has rightly given you stool softners but a gel can be applied to the location of pain. That is XYLOCAINE gel. Only applied externally.

I must advise you to see a general surgeon who will examin you to find out the exact cause.

I hope the answer was helpful. In case you need any further assistance feel free to contact.

Regards.
