What Causes Pain And Bruises Near The Tail Bone?

Over the past couple of months I have been getting pain at the top of my bum crack near my tail bone and the pain comes in forms of bruising and lumps. The pain has been off and on coming back at random times and causing discomfort when sitting, laying down, walking, or even just going to the bathroom. I was wondering what this could be and what s causing this to happen?
