What Causes Pain And A Lump In My Foot After Injury?
HI, I fell this morning and hurt my right foot, a lump the size of my ankle bone appeared immediatly and i could not put pressure on it, i wnet to casualty and was told it was a ligament tear, the pain has incresed over the morning and my foot is freezing cold.....is this normal?
As in ankle sprain, it depends upon the grade of the injury like its partially torn, half torn or fully torn. For this, we need an MRI to confirm it as we can't see inside the human body with naked eyes.
As the physician has mentioned about the ligament tear I think it will still be a ligament sprain I mean to say grade 1 injury, which will heal with hot water fermentation, crepe bandage or ankle brace, rest and elevation. Post which balance board training will help improve the strength in the muscles around the ankle and supporting the ankle joints. There is no surgical intervention so be relaxed.
It is an ankle sprain and will heal within 3 weeks of time. Post which you can start exercising.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
