What Causes Pain After Urination And Dark Specks In Urine?

Pain, pressure, pinching during and after urination. Cloudy urine, strange odor. Many UTI in past, have Rx for Cipro on refill. But ... found a aprox 1.5 clear string like thing with spots of dark red on in. There were two of these in my urine. Should I be concerned that thus is worse than the avg UTI?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to urinary tract infection.

For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, urine analysis, ultrasound abdomen after Urologist consultation.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Keep your self hydrated.

Take balanced diet.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
