What Causes Outbreak Of Red Bumps Under The Buttocks?

I woke up this morning with lump under my skin on the back of the leg where it meet the buttock. They didn t hurt but the area felt warm. There were approximately 5 or 6. Also there were two red lumps on the same side on my buttocks. There was not itch or pain. The lumps were pea size or a bit larger. Several hours later they were gone. I m just wondering what it might be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a reaction to any external allergen, a possible insect bite is to blame. To me, should run stool examination for ova/parasites; keep good local hygiene. If it will repeat, get an immediate physical examination by your physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
