I have been facing acne since a teenager and now I am 23 still I could not make peace with my acne. at my early teenage I was diagnosed of polycystic overy syndrome (PCOS) my endocrinologist gave me hopes that the acne will cure itself once my ovaries are normal. I was prescribed a Diane treatment which did normalized my ovaries but gave me the worst break out ever. I waited for 6 months to let all the remains of Dane to leave my body. I saw a derm and he prescribed me accutane, benzoyl peroxide and several IPL Laser sessions, within 4 months my skin was all clear and bright but after 8 months I started to have acne as before. I tried taking accutane on my own to heal the acne but it does not works anymore. plus I had some severe side effects of accutane such as hair loss, itchy eyes and headaches all these are persistent these side effects did not stop after quitting accutane. Now I consulted another derm and he prescribed me of L-glutathione as my color gets very dull once acne is on. now I have an increased amount of acne on my face plus my period is late too. I don t know what should I do to cure my acne it is really depressing me :( Th supplements I take other than accutane and L-glutathione are: vit C Omega 3 Any suggestions please I am hell depressed and rarely leave my room. :(
