Hello Doctor, I am a 36 years old woman. My left hand palm is getting numbness very often. Last week it was getting numb in the night while sleeping. But now for the past 4 days, even during the day it is numb. If my palm gets wet I feel like freezing cold in my palms. Please advice me.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that your left palm get numb frequently. I fear whether you are having carpal tunnel syndrome. Rest to your wrist and analgesic such as ibuprofen may be beneficial. Median nerve conduction velocity will be helpful in diagnosis.Mecobalamine is helpful. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
