What Causes Numbness On The Outer Ear?

Hi. My name is joe. I'm 22. I am in good health as I know. I have numbness on the outer part of my left ear. I don't know if it's because I've slept on it or what. But every time I touch it it feels numb and Pins and needles. But when I'm not touching it I don't really realize it's numb. Any advice or answers please. Thank you for your time

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding numbness of outer portion of your left pinna of ear.

As you said you are in habit of sleeping on left side only that may be one possible cause of pressing the nerve and giving you feeling of numbness.
But one should rule out other factors associated with neuropathy. These are-

1- Diabetes.

2- Cervical spondylosis.

3- Lesions of ear canal.

These all above needs specialist care.

Regards.
