Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness In The Upper Thigh While Having Light Chain Disease?
I have a numbness in my left upper thigh. It has been their for quite a while and is not periodic but there all the time. Sometimes it turns into a burning sensation but is still constantly numb. I should also mention that I have been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphosytic Leukemia with LCDD. ( light chain deposition Disease)
You have a history of Chronic lymphocytic leukemia along with LDDD. Presently you are having numbness & burning sensation in the upper thigh. It is indicative of some developing neuropathy.
You are suggested to visit a Neurologist & get physically examined. Keep the doctor informed about the medication you are taking & the illness you are suffering from. Sometimes drug interactions may cause nerve disorders.
Get all Nerve Conduction tests done, Nerve biopsy if required & Imaging tests done. In the meantime take vitamin B supplements with minerals.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
