What Causes Numbness In The Nose And Face?

after rising today I noticed a strange tingling numbness which I now describe extending from the tip of my nose and on the right side of my face, around the right eye, down to the tip of my ear and to my jaw and chin. This numbness is also present on my right arm from the shoulder to the forearm and to the back of my right hand.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The narrated numbness can be part of nerve compression supplying the particular parts of the face and upper limb usually involving upper trunk of cervical plexus.
* In my clinic, I recommend a detailed examination of the sensory-motor pathways and then nerve conduction velocity or electromyography would help best in this regard to stamp the particular diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
