What Causes Numbness In The Body?

I was bent over scratching my cat for about 1 minute. Whet I straighten up it felt light a shock went through my whole body followed by a numbness through my body. I was about to go down but was able to get ahold of a support. After ten minutes I felt a bit better except for a slight headache on the right side. Now over an later things seem to be normal.

Hi,

This sounds like a nerve pathology. It could be that because of sudden change in posture the nerve got stretched . If there are no long term problems do not worry but do not put stress on the nerve again.
