Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Numbness And Tingling In Hands And Legs After Tooth Extraction?
I have been having numbness and tingling and feel weak on all my extremities for 3 days and have gotten worse today. I have hx of thyroid CA in 2010 post surgical removal including 2 of my parathyroids so I'm on life long thyroid and calcium therapy. I had recent dental extraction with bone graft and don't know if this is related.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain numbness and tingling after dental extraction is not exactly due to extraction procedure but can be due to side effect of medications that might be given to you after extraction or can be due to drug interaction between the present medications and your regular medicines.. I would therefore suggest you to consult your treating surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. In case if it is due to side effects of medication change of medications will gradually relieve the symptoms..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
