What Causes Numbness And Pain On The Finger After A Skin Scratch?

I scratched in between my pointer finger and middle finger and it stung down my vein. It was not a hard scratch, I had an itch. That was around 3 weeks ago. the area is constantly numb and stings sharply sometimes when I touch it.. The area that stings, appears to be getting bigger. and is now to the middle of my hand, top of hand. It appears a bit swollen., veins very visible.
