I have numbness in my tongue (left side) and a metallic taste in my mouth. My dentist recently found a growth on my throat (left side) which he said was probably nothing to worry about but I should get checked out by an ENT specialist. The growth was there about a year ago but later disappeared. The concerning part is that it s back. It s about 1/2 cm in diameter. Lately also my left ear hurts when I swallow. I can t get an appointment with an ENT for 10 days... Should I be rushing to see another doctor? I m 45 years old, female, 5 2 and 125lb. Overall I have good health. Was a long term smoker who quit 6 month ago.
