What Causes Numb, Painful And Tingly Knee Post Miniscus Removal Surgery?

I had meniscus removal surgery in August. I recovered slowly, but was not able to play tennis. I was able to get back to normal activities with no pain. I went skiing yesterday and had some swelling in that knee. Today, I skied for one hour and I am now in extreme pain. My knee is swelling and I have numbness and tingly in my toes.

Brief Answer:
You should make a RM (Magnetic Resonance) of the knee.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
The rehabilitation time which means the time needed to return to normal work and sports activity , is usually 3-4 weeks after the surgery for meniscus removal. This means that you did nothing wrong , going skiing. But, as you are experiencing swelling, numbness and tingly in your toes, it would be better to perform a RM, in way to see if there is something wrong within the articulation cavity . Meanwhile, you can take pain relievers such as Ibuprofen (Ibulite) tablets 400 mg three times a day after the meals, or Diclofenac (Agile) 50 mg , three times a day, after the meals.
Apply cold compresses or ice bags on the knee and leave it at rest.

Hope this is helpful.
