What Causes Nose Congestion And Cough While On High BP Medication?
I just had a stent put in a week ago, I take meds for high blood pressure & thyroid problems. This morning I woke up with a stuffy nose, congestion & a cough. I have in the past taken Mucinex 1200 but wondering if it is okay to take with my conditions.

Some of the medications used for treating high blood pressure can cause nasal stuffiness as a side effect. Also if one is on drugs like ACE Inhibitors and ARBs (Angieotensin receptor blockers) cough is also notices as a side effects.
Mucinex 1200, if it is helpful, can be taken, it is unlikely to cause any problem. You may also need some additional medications to reduce coughing. Thanks.
