What Causes Non Healing Cuts On Lips?

Hi i have cutlike holes on my upperlip that wont seem to heal had them for about a week... they seem worse in the morning when my mouth is dry i am just wondering the causes i did some research and read it could be from STDs as i have been with a couple partners unprotected ... I have always gotten canker sores and have had this happen a couple years back also just wondering if there are any normal causes for this.

Cracking of lips is known as Chielitis.Dryness of lips is a manifestation of atopic dermatitis. Lip moisturisation is crucial for the treatment. Drinking plenty of water is crucial for treatment. Also there is a variant of Chielitis aggrevated by sun exposure know as Actinic Chielitis.Consult your dermatologist regarding the same. Regards
