What Causes No Movement Of Fetus During Pregnancy?

I haven't felt my baby move in almost 24 hours. He's always been extremely active and I find it very strange and nerve racking. I am 36 weeks, 3 days. There was no gradual decrease at all. It was as if I snapped my fingers and he stopped. Is this normal?

Hello,
I can understand your concern for your baby. I would like to tell you that after 32 to 34th week of pregnancy, fetal movements will be less perceived by you, because fetal growth is maximum in last 2 months and fluid will be decreased as the pregnancy progressed...So it is absolutely normal that you will less perceive fetal movements in your last month, but still you will be able to perceive at least 3 to 5 movements during 24 hours.
If you will not perceive any movements in next 24 hours, then i would advise you to consult your gynecologist and get your sonography done to be on a safer side.
So be relaxed and normal and don't take tension, because this can happen in many cases in the last month of pregnancy.
