What Causes Neck Pain With History Of Throat Cancer?

two years ago had throat cancer (surgery and radiation). Have been cancer free since then. Now my neck is hurting (almost where a collar would start) from left to right side. Last week was at ETN and they said my throat looks great. Is this normal? Would I have some pain due to nerves working again? What could be causing this? Or what type of Dr. should I get an appt. with? Why is this advertised as free?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Throat pain can occur due to infection or inflammation in the throat.
Whether the pain is associated with previous history of throat cancer has to be investigated.
I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for clinical assessment and specifically look for any recurrence of cancer or any new growth.
In case any new growth is present, it has to be biopsied and examined.

Thanks and take care
