Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My neck is somewhat painful to the touch around the divot in my throat and my neck feels a bit stiff. It is starting to hurt a little bit when i swallow but not like a regular sore throat. I can t see that there is any swelling but it kind of feels that way. The painful-to-the-touch issue has been going on for about 3-4 days. The painful-to-swallow issue started earlier today.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Sushant's Response
Hello, In my opinion these symptoms may be due to pharyngitis or due to collection of pus in the soft tissue around the neck and mandible, commonly called as Ludwig angina. It's advisable to go to ER and get yourself examined.
