What Causes Neck Pain Along With Dizziness And Nausea?

My symptoms are: neck pain in the cervical area and the back of my head. I have an irregular gait when walking. Sometimes when I attempt to get up I have a tendency to lose balance and shift to one side. I have dizziness and nausea that comes and goes. I have lower back pain. I am in my 80's. Because all my blood tests came back normal - glucose, blood count, cholesterol and kidney function. My weight is normal. I have had previous triple bypass surgery and a knee replacement. Is there any direction for testing or prognosis of what to be looking for when I see my family physician or specialist?

As per your query you have neck pain, dizziness and tinnitus. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , migraine or cervical spondylosis . Even TMJ problem can also cause such symptoms . Avoid bending forward and drink green tea with ginger thrice a day . Apply dry warm compresses on ear. You should take oral broad spectrum Antibiotics to treat the infection. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined , who may order CT scan , rotatory chair test along with taking history. Start treatment after proper prescription. Doctor may also recommend hearing aid , meniett device , steroid injection or vestibular therapy . Doctor may also prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba . Do mind relaxing exercises like meditation and yoga , also apply warm compresses to neck. Doctor may refer you to orthopedic surgeon in case of cervical spondylosis.
