General & Family Physician 's  Response
Pain starting in sides of neck going to neck radiating to back then to shoulders is neuralgia. Cervical nerves arising from intervertebral spaces are being compressed due to some pathology in cervical vertebrae ,carrying pain along with it. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice to have an xray of neck AP Latreal view,. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice cervical collar, tab diclofenac , peracetamol, MR, cap B complex, cap tramadol , all three times a day . Hard bed, no lifting of weight by hands.
