I have had twice in the last week felt a overwhelming feeling of nausia and pressure in my chest.......the first time zapped all of my strength and made me sick , gaggaing. the last time i almost blacked out with the same feelings..........what could this be......

Thank you for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should first get done ecg to rule out cardiac cause as cardiac problem can cause tightness in chest with black outs. If this is normal than go for chest x ray for any lung problem. If this is normal than you may have GERD. It is gastroesophageal reflux disease. In which acid in the stomach tend to come up in the esophagus due to poor function of sphincter and cause symptoms. So consult your doctor and discuss this things.
