What Causes Nausea, Fatigue, Poor Appetite, Fever And Body Pain?

My 20 year old daughter is feeling achy, nauseous, and extremely tired. She has no appetite. She has a fever of 101.9, and that is after taking tylenol. She has a bad headache. This has been going on for a few days now. She went to a urgent care clinic. They put her on a Z pack. She has taken two days worth of the antibiotic. She says her eyes even hurt. Just wondering if we should wait it out for another day or go to emergency.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read your message carefully and understood your concern.

It looks like your daughter is going through a viral infection.

Generally, it needs five to 10 days for the symptoms to get improved. You must be patient, take medication and some home care.

Drink lemon water, tea and do gargling with warm salt water; let her rest more.
Breathing fresh air can help.
If after 5 days she won't get better, please consult with her physician as further diagnostic tests are required:
- complete blood count
- urine analysis
- full biochemistry panel
- abdominal ultrasound

I hope this was helpful. Wish fast recovery.
Dr.Albana
