Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 9 year old is complaining of feeling nauseous when he stands for the last week. he has thrown up twice, but seems to be ok when sitting down. he had his appendix removed a month ago. I took him to a doctor who simply just said that it was a virus, but it has lasted a week since then
As a first line management you can give him antiemetic like Domeperidone for symptomatic relief. If vomiting persist better to consult a pediatrician and plan for an ultrasound scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
