Dear Doctor my daughter is 4 years old and she was having complain of nausea and vomiting not regularly but occasionally... and her diet is very very low... when we consult a doctor he gave some test in which one test was URINE DR AND the other was URINE CULTURE... upon finding she is having pus cells and leucocytes esterase 25/UL(+1).... doctor is saying it is very rare in a female child who is only 4 years old ... and she is also having bacterial growth.. doctor is saying that he will give her injectable antibiotics for 7 days which is the best solution for this problem.. we as a parent are reluctant to give her injectable antibiotic... please advise what to do ?? your cooperation is highly appreciated .. best regards
Most probably it is due to utinary tract infection. Antibiotics have to be started at the earliest. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
