After cateract and lens surgery, I became very ill. I developed extreme nausea, and other symptoms that lasted almost 3 months. I experienced serious sweats (back of head and shoulders), inability to eat food due to extreme gagging and inability to taste food except for very toxic and foul taste in my mouth. I lost 27 lbs in 2.5 months. Near the end of that journey I experienced a bluish blotch in my left eye (stationary, not a floater ) and a few days later my left eye went into white-out (complete blindness) that lasted several minutes accompanied by extreme nausea. After several more minutes the condition receeded except for the blue splotch which now seems permanent. This repeated 4 times over three days. I also experienced on an earlier occasion an extreme tilting of the vision in the left eye (the one where I was treating glacoma) about 27 degrees of center creating 2 separate identical fields of vision. A day or 2 later I experienced hyper rapid back and forth occilation of the left eye lasting appx. 45 seconds. Extreme nausea and sweating throughout. During this period I had been using the generic latanoprost (fake substitute for Xalatan).
