What Causes Nausea And Loss Of Appetite After Taking Cephalexin 500mg?

Hi my husband was operated on bladder surgery. He was given cephalexin 500 mg. he has no appetite and very nauseous. He has 1 and a half day left. Took the mess for 6 days. Can this be from this antibiotic and cN he switch for a small period of time to something else. He was running a fever a few days ago, 101.5 and thereafter went down to a normal temperature. Please help

It is possible that the symptoms are related to the medication since many antibiotics cause gastrointestinal side effects.

Since he is almost finished the course, he may want to try using medications that reduce nausea such as dramamine or peptobismol.

If the nausea is over whelming and not responsive to these medications then he can speak to his doctor about a change.
