General & Family Physician, Dr. Katie Lee's Response
Since she just started a week ago as a new medication, such side effects usually get better over the next few weeks if she continues to take them and once her body adjusts to the medication.
Not sure on her current dose, but reducing the dose to a half tablet for first few weeks is an option until symptoms are improved.
However, if symptoms are getting intolerable or she does not want to bear such side effects, please have her discontinue the treatment and talk to her doctor on an alternative option.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Katie Lee, General & Family Physician
