What Causes Nausea And Burning Sensation In The Nose?

Hi, for a couple weeks now, I ve been feeling constantly like I m going to throw up despite not feeling sick, or just yesterday, my sinuses suddenly started to burn, where it connects to your throat, just above. IT just started burning like crazy. Again, I don t know why I m getting this feeling of needing to throw up, despite having a healthy weight and trying to eat more healthy. Sometimes it happens when I m anxious. Why do I feel like this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms you are describing is suggestive of possible GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). GERD occurs due to reflux stomach acids into the esophagus. Here are few lifestyle changes to try to relieve the symptoms
Avoid spicy, fatty, and fried foods as well as chocolates and carbonated drinks.
Avoid citrus-containing foods like tomatoes, oranges, and fruit juices.
Eat multiple small portions of food rather than three large meals.
Limit caffeine intake.
Have your dinner at least two hours before bedtime, so that your stomach is light before you go to bed.
Elevate the head end of the bed by placing wooden blocks under the bed post. Using extra pillows will not provide relief.
Avoid cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption.
Maintain a healthy weight.

You can also take Pantoprazole.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
