Yes, I have systemic scleroderma, had my whole large intestines removed and connected to the sigmoid. 2 years later my esophgus has no motility. 6 months later my EGD showed large amonths of undigested food. I tried small meals q 2 hrs. stayed very nauseated and aspirated several times. In Oct. 2016 I had a peg tube inserted. How long does the peg tube usually work? My GI Specialist informed us that we would have more complications down the road and we would have to go to a j-tube. I know that my life will never be the same and it will continue to deteriate. My husband & I are trying to decide if we want to go on to the j-tube? What do you think?
