What Causes Nausea After Waking Up?

Feel nauseated after a nap, I am in late 60 s, history of migraines, take statin, Paxil 40 mg, verapamil, vagifem, been checked for female issue, no kids because could not, female reconstructive surgery, did not help me to conceive, gastrointestinal issues, in 2010, UCSD said stomach ok, had test, but still take every morning like a omeprozoli to help me, still sometimes need my migraine meds, take Imitrex, probably more than I should, but cannot help it. I am pretty much vegetarian, NO MEAT, but still eat diary , cheese and yogurt. PLEASE HELP with the nausea, I am currently with Scripps, San Diego.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to migraine. I recommend using over the counter medication to reduce the nausea such as Reglan three tablets a day.

I also recommend to use the migraine treatment to prevent the a headache. I suggest to drink liquids and sleep at least seven hours a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
