What Causes Muscle Spasms And Weakness In The Arms?

I have had surgery for spinal sternoises in the upper neck. I still am having trouble walking at times. I am getting recurring symptoms. At the present time it is muscle spasms in the arms and legs. I am now getting some weakness in the arms, is this because of the muscle spasms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Well, this may not be very serious but what you said about your spinal stenosis. Weakness in the context of spinal stenosis should always be taken seriously. These may be because of the compression of your nerves in the stenosed spine. I would suggest you see a neurosurgeon earlier. He can better help you but don't put it simply to spasm until the neurosurgeon sees you
.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
