What Causes Muscle Cramps In The Buttock?

I strained a muscle in my right buttock. From time to time it has a spasm, then goes away, but the surrounding muscles cramp up too and are harder to get rid of. When I can t stand up straight, then I get burning pains below my right shoulder blade. Muscle medicine eventually makes it all go away and I have a good couple of days with no pain, but then I tweak the spasm again and it all comes back. What to do???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would advise you to talk to a physiotherapist and see the need to do some stretching exercising that will help relax the muscles that may be in spasm an also some strengthening exercises that will strengthen the core muscles and other muscles as the physiotherapist may find it necessary.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
