What Causes Multiple Types Of Red, Pus Filled And Bumpy Rashes In A Child?

My 5 yr old grandson has 3 different kinds of rashes at the same time. All. We re noticed Friday at school. On left side of face, and ear ..red rash with some slight swelling near eye, and ear. On inside of arm ( elbow) there s a few that are pussy , one is scabing, lots of redness. And on back, arms and legs, tiny bumps. Also 3 more little pussy like bumps on inside of arm between wrist and crease of elbow turned up in past few hours. Friday, the dr. Said she was confused and put him on a steroid

The presence of pus indicates that there may be an infection present and he may need a course of oral and topical antibiotic to treat this infection.

Impetigo is the possible infection present.

His doctor can consider starting him on a course of antibiotics along with any additional medication he may need.
