What Causes Mucus In Bowel Movements?

What are the top 5 causes of mucus in bowel movements. I have alot of white mucus in the 'folds' of the BM And jelly discharge when I wipe. clear to light brown.
I have eaten Fiber one and AllBran for over 20 years EVERY day. and this just started like a year ago. Last Colono 2011

I really appreciate your concern, it is not the five causes that can be discussed here but it is the several reasons are there right from the pathological changes to physiological and of course diet could be the reason too, and it needs to be differentiated then stool has to be tested for that, along with this clinical symptoms also is the matter of concern, hope this information helps.
