What Causes Movable Squishy Lump On Right Side Of Abdominal Area?
Hi. I am a 28 year old male. I have squishy part on the right side of my abdominal muscles. Most of the time iy does not hurt. But it makes a weird sound when i press on it and it feels like fluid is moving around when i apply pressure. Can anyone tell me what this could be??
In most cases, a lump is caused by a hernia. An abdominal hernia is when the abdominal cavity structures push through a weakness in your abdominal wall muscles and can be treated with surgery. Other causes could be lipoma or hematoma. I would suggest you take an abdominal ultrasound to identify the cause. Any history of sudden pain, fever or vomiting, it is essential to visit your doctor immediately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
