What Causes Mouth Ulcers?

Hello. I recently noticed what looks like a canker sore in my mouth near my upper jaw. From the sore, a small series of little bumps extends from my sore and goes to my upper lip. These sores are symmetrical. I have the same sores on each side. I just received a clean std panel. Could I have oral hpv? The clinician I visited believes it could be a yeast infection. Thank you.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain a cluster of little bumps present on both sides of cheeks can be due to hypertrophied sebaceous glands also known as Fordyce's granules or Fordyce's spots..

They are not pathological but are normal anatomical structures..

But for confirmation consult an Oral Physician and get a clinical examination done..

In case if it is Fordyce's granules then it does not need any treatment as they are not pathological..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
