General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pregnancy should be ruled out. Delay in periods may be related to hormonal imbalance, stress, nutritional deficiency like anemia, crash dieting or vigorous exercise. Pelvic ultrasound, thyroid function test and blood hemoglobin should be done to identify the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
