Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hello healthcare user,
AVN of hip is a condition where head of femure get deprived of blood.core decompression is a procedure used in early stages of AVN.it can revert the condition back to normal in few cases and needs regular follow up with orthopaedic surgeon.AVN can developed gain in already cured hip or it can progress in spite of core decompression. at this stage i would advice you to get an MRI done of involved hip to know the condition of the hip joint...consult your surgeon or with me after reports to guide you better on this....also let me know if you have done any blood investigations . feel free to consult again if you have any doughts.thank you.
