General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since the implanon implant is causing complications & discomfort, you are suggested to visit ER & get examined by a gynecologist/GP and get it removed for relieve. If you have an infection, PCOS, etc., get blood, urinalysis and USG (Uterus) done. You may need antibiotics/antivirals. Get treated at the earliest.

In the meantime avoid sex for a couple of days while you are getting treated. Avoid multiple partners, perform safe sex. You can take acetaminophen, one SOS to feel better. Stay well hydrated & avoid junk food. Maintain your eating timings.

If you continue to get nausea, light headedness and have delayed periods, you are suggested to get pregnancy test done to be on the safer side.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
