Last night I used a new hair dye that smelled awful. I felt dizzy afterwards. Woke up with a migraine. Took relpax. The pain went away and soon I got a visual aura which passed after half hour. Now Im just dizzy. Any suggestions as to how to get this to pass? How ling does this reaction to hair dye chemicals last?

Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM!

Regarding your concern, your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to the hear dye components, which have been absorbed through the head skin and taked with inhalation.

It is known that different chemical products can trigger a migraine attack, especially spicy food and strong smells.

There is nothing to worry about. Your body is doing the best to excrete and metabolize these toxins. It may take up to 2-3 days to get a complete relief.

I recommend having some rest and taking plenty of water during these days, to avoid dehydratation and help excrete as soon as possible the toxins accumulated in your blood.

Hope to have been of help!

Bests regards,
Dr. Aida
