What Causes Metallic Taste On Lips Along With Pain In Hip And Knee?

I have a metallic taste on my lips that just developed. It is actually on my skin (hands) as well; won t wash off. No difference in diet, meds, etc. Just increased pain in rt hip, knee, front of leg as if in bone, especially after walking or when sitting in car, laying down. Thank you for your time. Hugs to you.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of metallic taste on lips along with pain in hip and knee increased level of anxiety in you and due to that there must be increased grinding of teeth. Due to increased grinding there is loss of zinc and a zinc deficiency can cause too much copper to build especially if your diet is rich in copper or if you take birth control pills or hormone replacement. Need not to panic about anything. Visit neurologist once and get it examined properly. Start with antidepressant medication or measures to prevent epileptic attack again. Maintain oral hygiene. Take muscle relaxants.Till then take sugar free candies for mouth taste. Have yogurt as probiotic. You are on less chances of seizure attack again as you stopped Tramadol.
