Understanding your concern. As per your query you have metallic taste in mouth when diagnosed with esophageal spasm which is due to painful contraction of muscles of esophagus and reflux of acidic contents in stomach. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take probiotics in diet such as Yoghurt and take garlic as well. chew on sugar free candies to stimulate salivary flow. Drink plenty of water and fluids. Visit oral physician/ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. Take antacid and avoid intake of spicy food as well. Do Not lay down immediately after having food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
